Management Accountant (FTC)

We are currently looking for an experienced Management Accountant (fixed-term contract - 9 months with potential extension) to join our Commercial Finance team.

This is a newly created position to support the growth of the team and deliver successful change projects within the commercial vehicle division.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to play a vital role in supporting the continued growth and success of our Commercial division.

In this role, you will provide a comprehensive and proactive management accounting and reporting service. You will ensure timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts, analyse financial performance, and support the budgeting and forecasting process.

You will also play a key role in ensuring adherence to all accounting policies and practices.

WHAT'S THE ROLE

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts for the Commercial division, including variance analysis and insightful narratives.


• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and reviewed regularly, with timely resolution of any discrepancies.


• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to all accounting policies and practices.


• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing valuable insights and analysis.


• Partner with the wider Commercial team, fostering strong relationships and acting as a trusted advisor.


• Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives and embrace new technologies.


• Contribute to the development of a high-performing Commercial Finance team.
  
  A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with experience in a similar role within a multi-divisional group structure.


• Proven experience in financial reporting, analysis, and reconciliation.


• Strong technical accounting skills, with a high level of numeracy and proficiency in Microsoft applications (particularly Excel).


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.


• A collaborative team player with a positive and results-oriented approach.


• A willingness to learn, adapt to change, and embrace new ideas.

• Salary between £40,000-£52,000 per annum (depends on experience) & Annual bonus
