Full Job Description

This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements., In this role you will report directly to the Senior Finance Business Partner - Strategic Projects but will also work closely with other financial and management accounting colleagues and other non-finance professionals from across the University.

We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated Accountant to work as a key member of a strong, committed team delivering financial support to some of our key strategic programmes and projects. Your role will require a professional approach to support your stakeholders with the submission of integrated plans and forecasts, and all associated financial management.
You will be CCAB (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) qualified/part-qualified or be qualified by substantial experience in a financial environment including the preparation of and monitoring against financial plans. You will also bring with you experience of producing financial management information for non-finance professionals.
As well as providing financial monitoring support, you will also be involved in developing new systems and reporting procedures, finding innovative solutions and improved ways of working.
