Job Summary:
To lead the Area Maintenance Organisation to identify, specify, prioritise and deliver all related maintenance activities in order to meet the performance target for EHSS, compliance, cost, quality and schedule via SABIC and contracted resources. To ensure compliance with the law and SABIC's standards, procedures and work processes (OMS & MPs) for their area of responsibility. Work together with the other two Area Maintenance Managers, to optimise the total maintenance performance in support of Teesside manufacturing operations. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Maintenance.
How You Can Be the Impact
-Compliance to EHSS requirements, standards, procedure and agreed work methods within the maintenance team, including competence development and management of SABIC and contracted team.
-Performance of the plant on EHSS, tons, quality and cost as a member of the Plant Management Team (PMT), consisting of Operations, Technical and Maintenance. Within this team the Maintenance Manager is the single point of contact for all maintenance related delivery and issue resolution.
-Management of the maintenance area team including maintaining the required level of competence and quantity of staffing to meet operational needs.
-Delivery of preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance activities including regulatory and procedural requirements within their area.
-In conjunction with the Technical develop maintenance strategies (life plans) for the area's assets that ensures they are safe and available for ongoing operation.
-Managing the maintenance aspects of plant breakdowns, emergences, short stops and events to return the asset to production safely and in the minimum time.
-Delivery of outsourced maintenance work through the contracted supplier base.
-Monitoring, reporting and improvement of Maintenance KPI's
-Development of fixed cost and CAPEX budgets for the operational area and subsequent delivery of the budgeted worklist once approved (in the range of £8 to 15Mpa)
What Matters to SABIC
-Degree qualified, preferably mechanical, process control or electrical engineering
-To be a chartered engineer or in the process of attaining chartership
-A proven knowledge of maintenance and operational activities.
-10-15 years manufacturing experience in the petrochemical or related industry
-Good planning, organizing and decision making skills
-Ability to lead, communicate, coach and influence team members and others.
-Proven experience in contractor management
-Fluency in English both written and spoken
