Full Job Description
As Manager Domestic Supply Flight, you will support the Logistics Squadron Executive team in their duties by leading and managing your team of Civil Servants and Service Personnel to deliver Clothing, Barrack and Laundry services to RAF Wittering. As the highest graded Civil Servant on the Squadron, you will assume all line management responsibilities for Logistic Squadron Civil Servants (up to 16 in total).
Supporting the Executive team, your duties will include, but not restricted to, the following:
Daily line management of six Civil Service positions reporting directly to you and eight military roles, one of which reports directly to you.
Line management of up to sixteen Civil Servants compiling annual Performance Assessments and Development Reports, and where appropriate act as 1st and/or 2nd Reporting Officer for Service Joint Appraisal Reports for DSF personnel.
Maintaining sufficient resources and infrastructure in all DSF areas to enable effective Supply support to all RAF Wittering customers.
Exercise delegated financial authority for the efficient and proper management of specified elements of the Stn TLB.
Act as Budget Manager for the DIO DAS budget ensuring that all purchases are made correctly and in accordance with appropriate policy (c.£70K-100K per annum).
Ensure that stocktaking is carried out in a timely manner.
Ensure that all Defence Accommodation Stores, Clothing and Technical equipment is stored, handled, issued and disposed correctly and to the approved scales of entitlement.
Co-ordinate the local contract services programme, advising of any areas of concern or adverse trends in levels of service.
Travel to other MoD locations on occasion to complete duties and training.
