The Curtiss-Wright HR team in Christchurch operate as a Shared Service across 3 Divisions, supporting around 570 employees, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative, organised and professional Human Resources Manager to join the team at our state-of-the-art facility by Bournemouth Airport. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, this position is responsible for providing a full range of human resources management and generalist support to 300 employees in Christchurch, Dorset. - Provide HR generalist support in the areas of recruitment, compensation, policy implementation, talent management, performance management, training and development, change management and employee relations.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Provide professional advice and guidance to Directors, managers and employees in regard to all people related matters
- Interpret and implement Corporate and site-wide HR policies and procedures and ensure the company is acting in full compliance with all company policies and procedures and employment law.
- Work closely with local management to ensure all HR related goals and objectives are met.
- Manage employee and HR-related communications
- Provide advice and direction with regard to employee relations issues
- Prepare and deliver various routine and customized reports and presentations and HR metrics
- Work closely with management to create and foster a positive, high performance work environment.
- Drive employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
- Manage 2 members of the HR Team
Experienced and innovative HR Professional, educated to degree level and Level 7 CIPD qualified. - HR experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or related industry.
- People oriented and approachable
- Results driven and demonstrable experience with HR metrics
- Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and make decisions in a fair, consistent impartial and unbiased manner.
- Works well independently and as a member of a cohesive team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills able to build and maintain positive working relationships.
- Strong communication skills.
- Workday (Human Capital Management System) knowledge another definite plus.
