Full Job Description
- The Manager of Language Management is responsible to develop a high performing network of internal specialized linguists to support IQVIA Translations Services (ITS) growth strategy.
- Will be responsible to define and execute the internal linguist strategy to ensure ITS Translations and Localization projects are always fast resourced by the most talented and specialized linguists.
- Works collaboratively with Vendor Managers, Production and Delivery leaders to ensure Translation and Localisation projects are delivered according to ITS' standards and client requirements.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships within teams as well as with internal and external stakeholders and clients. Ensures that all translated and localized content is sourced by specialists that can deliver on time and budget and recommends synergies and enhancements to proactively support ITS market leadership.
- Defines sharp metrics and accurate growth and development plans to ensure high performance, transparent plan for execution and continued reporting of results to Director of Vendor and Language Management, ITS Operations and Leadership team.
- Brings a network of high quality linguists of trust that can be considered for ITS future enrolment as internal linguists, Create and develop a state-of-the-art network of Internal specialized Linguists in alignment with ITS strategic goals.
- Lead Internal Linguist team to achieve ITS Growth targets.
- Develop a culture of continued improvement, drive change, challenge the status quo and always lead the team to achieve the beyond expectations.
- Ensure top quality, maximum compliance and adequate cost delivered by every linguist in the network.
- Defines adequate Goals and KPIs in alignment to ITS Strategy and growth targets
- Ensures maximum utilization of resources
- Excellence management of assigned budget and spent
- Resolve and escalate issues in a professional and timely fashion.
- Record and document department performance, internal projects, and other relevant activities. Produce, distribute, and present report/presentation materials to Director of Vendor and Language Management, ITS Operations and Leadership Team
- Identify and develop talent inside the team for Succession planning and individual professional growth.
- Maintain excellent relationships and ensure successful collaboration with internal/external clients/stakeholders and manage any escalations or issues that may arise effectively
- Comply with relevant and applicable ITS SOPs and quality standards
- Work closely with other ITS staff and contribute actively to other ITS strategic initiatives as needed.
- Ensure all internal linguists are compliant with ITS define standards in terms of experience and qualification

- Ability to communicate vision of ITS and be an ambassador to the broader IQVIA
- Be able to adapt to project needs and shift priorities regularly
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Good knowledge and understanding of Translations/Localization industry leading technology solutions
- Experience working with XTRF and/or memoQ as well as with any TMS would be highly appreciated
- Capacity to understand and experience to leverage AI/ML and BOT based solutions
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage competing priorities and changing demands
- Ability to follow instructions/guidelines, work independently and on own initiative
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in IQVIA as well as with clients with demonstrated cultural and emotional intelligence
- Ability to foster personal and professional development of team members as well as contribute to succession planning when needed
- MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in a linguistic, business, or scientific field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the translations and localization industry. At least 3 years of experience in leadership roles
- Has worked as a professional Linguist during at least 2 years. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers.
- Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech.
- Regular sitting for extended periods of time.
- Domestic and International travel eventually needed
