Full Job Description

  • Working on PE transactions for investors and investee companies, you will work alongside Partners on a range of mandates, whilst playing a part in nurturing the team's talent and progression. This role is based in our London office., Our Private Equity team sits within our Corporate Group and advises several leading private equity firms on investments, bolt-on acquisitions, portfolio matters and exits, as well as advising founders and management teams on transactions financed by private equity.

  • WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE
  • Working with prominent private equity investors (inc 9 of the top 10 most prolific mid-cap houses) minimise their risk whilst maximising returns.
  • Using imagination and impact, you will assist sponsors to build and execute their deal pipeline, support investments throughout their growth, and achieve the best possible exit.
  • Identify new opportunities - via direct deal origination, market coverage calls and divestment trackers.
  • Execute buy-side mandates with speed and certainty during competitive process.
  • Provide your clients with commercial advice through the lifecycle of an investment to support value enhancement strategies.
  • Work as part of a team who have a strong reputation for nurturing talent, in a supportive and stretching environment with excellent prospects for career development. Our record of internal career development and promotions is strong, with many of the team's partners promoted to that role having joined the team post-qualification.
  • We have a strong culture of support and collaboration and, as a senior member of the team, you will be encouraged to contribute to business and practice development activities. You can also be expected to be involved in the supervision and development of other team members.

    We are looking to expand our high performing team; we are keen to engage with lawyers who have a keen interest and relevant experience in Private Equity.
  • You will have a strong grounding in company law and corporate transaction experience, including private equity deal structuring and market practice alongside proven experience working with leading mid-market or large cap investors would be highly advantageous.
