Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a Senior Managing Consultant to join our growing team. This is a senior role with the Navitas Life Sciences business where you will take the lead in building client relationships, manage consultancy projects, and drive business and company development. An example of core job responsibilities include the following: To lead a portfolio of complex consultancy projects and bring fresh insight to deliver robust client solutions
- To manage and own project delivery, multiple and/or complex projects, prime client contact
- To provide leadership, bring insight and gravitas to the analysis, design and implementation of projects
- To oversee the management of effective project budgeting and financial controls to ensure profitability
- Active leadership in client solutions to build the Navitas Life Sciences brand - acts as SME on projects and/or Navitas Life Sciences industry-leading Networks
- To provide thought leadership to projects/nets and bring new concepts or services for client projects To conduct business development activities and lead key accounts to generate revenue, drive growth and profitability
- To conduct business development activities to contribute to sales growth and generate revenue ($500k- $1m)
- To lead or co-lead key (3-4) accounts to build existing client relationships and develop repeat business
- To seek and develop new business opportunities and clients (e.g. networking, conferences, etc.)
- To conduct full range of BD activities to include, generate leads, conduct client meetings/briefs, build proposals and close successful negotiations
- To stay alert to industry insight and competitor intelligence to ensure competitive advantage To provide effective leadership to coach and develop direct reports and project teams
- To mentor, train, and coach project team members and direct reports (2-6 project team, 1-2 direct reports)
- To manage workload and resource distribution within and across project teams
- To provide direction and plan the development of team members to build capability
- To enhance performance through routine objective setting, feedback and appraisals for team members To be an integral part of management and leadership of Navitas Life Sciences to build the business
- To lead or co-lead strategic themes, internal projects and/or business improvement initiatives
- To develop collateral for projects/domain areas e.g. case studies, new concepts, PoV
- To partner with colleagues to lead and share domain, business, and client knowledge and insight
- Operations team member, lead company meeting sessions, enthusiastically acts as a role model
10 years in a Life Science industry or consulting role of which: + 6-8 years in a Senior Consulting role + 3 years in a Life Sciences/Pharma industry role + 3 years in a business development role - Expertise in 1 of the following areas is preferred: + Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance + Clinical Development Processes + Labelling, Regulatory Affairs + Risk Management, Quality and Compliance Evidence of capability
- Excellent consulting skills - methodologies/tools

- Excellent client and stakeholder management: senior levels, social awareness
- Excellent project management: manage complexity, resources and profitability
- Evidence of BD success $500k - $1m

- Personal skills: gravitas, self-awareness, resilience, manage ambiguity US - Remote Strong degree (2:1 in a relevant subject area (e.g. Science or industry related) PhD or MBA preferable Manager
