Full Job Description

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of healthcare delivery in South- West London. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of hospital care across multiple acute providers, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and operational excellence and financial sustainability.

The Managing Director will lead joint programmes of work between the Trusts, and the shared services of South West London (SWL) acute providers, focusing on enhancing efficiency, quality, and accessibility of elective care. This role requires strategic leadership, collaboration with healthcare providers, and the ability to drive innovation in service delivery.

By the end of 24/25, the CDC programme will have delivered an additional 800,000 tests over the last 4 years, making it one of the most successful implementations in the country. The Collaborative has a joint programme team, passionate about delivering care improvement to deliver sustainable changes over time, who report to the Managing Director.

If you are passionate about improving care for patients in delivering the triple aim, and have a background in health care leadership, we are keen to hear from you., The post holder will be part of each of the organisations Senior Leadership Team, working closely with CEOs and Executive teams.

With a strong track record of working together, and commitment from both CEOs and Chairs regarding the longer term strategic collaborative focus, the Managing Director role is instrumental in leading cross organisational transformation in SWL.

South West London Acute Provider Collaborative constitutes the four acutes in South West London (St Georges, Epsom St Helier, Croydon University Hospital and Kingston Hospital). The Trusts already share a number of services, which include the nationally renowned SWLEOC service for orthopaedics, recruitment and procurement, and elective care improvement which places us in the top quartile.
