Full Job Description

We are looking for a Managing Engineer who will be responsible for a team of engineers, ensuring that planned and reactive maintenance tasks are completed to the required Service Level.

You'll be providing technical support and guidance to the engineers within your team and ensuring first line response to all planned maintenance tasks and emergencies during normal working hours and out of hours when on call.

You'll drive performance improvements in customer service, operational services and productivity, asset uptime and first-time fix. Ensuring all work is completed safely and to an agreed standard, you'll be managing all Health & Safety and PPE related issues within your team, escalating as necessary.

You will be able to effectively diagnose and identify faults and failures with equipment and systems and provide effective solutions.

As you will be representing Arcus, it is essential you make a good impression and comply with the dress code and maintain your tools and work area to a high standard., The role will involve working 40 hours per week and you'll be on call up to a maximum of 1 in 4 weeks

Are you an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Engineer or a Managing Engineer?

Do you have experience gained within Facilities Management or Construction?, You'll require previous supervisory experience within M&E and enjoy working autonomously in a pressurised environment, prioritising a complex and demanding workload. You'll also have excellent written and verbal communications skills, enabling you to communicate all operational M&E issues within your region. You'll be customer service driven and enjoy working within a people focused environment.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Previous demonstratable supervisory experience

  • A recognised Apprenticeship or Qualification in M&E Services/Maintenance (Plumbing or electrical bias an advantage)

  • A full valid UK driving license - Essential

  • 18th Edition - Desirable

  • HVAC experience - Desirable

  • City & Guilds Test and Inspection - Desirable

  • Plumbing qualifications - Desirable, Disability Confident

  • Salary: Up to £46,686 per annum, depending on experience
