Full Job Description

  • Take financial responsibility & accountability for a strategically key project within a division as a site-based Managing Surveyor

  • To take responsibility for the regular review of financial performance of project within the division in order to improve financial certainty and maximise commercial success of projects.

  • To ensure best practice and continuous improvement in divisional financial processes on site.

  • To provide high quality management information and support, monitor and advice to financial staff throughout the division, Manage project financial teams in line with the values, psychological contract and culture of ISG

  • To take a lead role in the valuation process where applicable including ensure valuations and invoices are issued on time.

  • Maintain up to date knowledge of element costings and costs/ft2.

  • Advise on product selection, specifications and assist with value engineering exercises.

  • Advise on selection of Sub-Contractors for package works.

  • Complete the final account administration and manage the retention release close out.

    Experience of different contracts forms which need to include one of the management forms, 2 stage, single stage and Design & Build.

  • Experience in establishing, managing and leading a large project team and/or multiple smaller project team

  • Experience as a Lead Surveyor on projects ranging between £20m to £50m

  • Experience in claims resolution both with the Employer and Sub-Contractor.

  • Recognised qualification in a building related subject

  • Recognised chartership with MCIOB or MRICS is preferable
