Full Job Description
As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll oversee all cost aspects of significant building and civil engineering projects or manage multiple smaller projects. Your goal? To optimize project costs, drive value for money, and uphold the highest quality standards. Some key Responsibilities will be:
- Apply advanced cost management principles and elemental cost analysis, including lifecycle implications.
- Conduct comprehensive risk analysis within the construction context.
- Prepare delay and disruption programmes.
- Lead cost planning and pre-contract cost control processes.
- Manage commercial interactions with customers and stakeholders.
- Evaluate and negotiate tenders, including subcontractor and supplier agreements.
- Perform benchmarking and oversee Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Appraise, negotiate and agree Contract Documents
Qualifications: A BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent experience). - Professional Membership: RICS, ICES, or CIOB membership or active progression toward these qualifications.
- Industry Expertise: Profound knowledge of construction, with specialization in geotechnical and ground engineering.
- Experience: Extensive background in Quantity Surveyor roles within the construction sector.
