Full Job Description

  • Responsible for converting the Engineering Design intent into Manufacturing Engineering Data Packs (MDP) and Manufacturing Instructions (MI) for Operations use
  • Responsible for identifying development opportunities and areas for continuous improvement
  • Contribute to the management of the Quality and SHE Systems, for Manufacturing Engineering processes and documentation e.g. calling up safe methods of working, as well as manage contractors and suppliers whilst on site, ensuring our SHE processes are followed at all times
  • Assist in estimating activities and make/buy decisions
  • Build effective internal and cross functional relationships in order to achieve overall Project requirements and support justifications / business cases that seek to improve business performance, and thus provide optimised return on capital investment
  • Assist in the deployment of the training & risk assessments associated with the Manufacturing Engineering sub-discipline

    Knowledge of relevant Engineering & Manufacturing Engineering standards and SHE regulations
  • HNC or equivalent, with experience of working in a Manufacturing Engineering role OR Foundation degree with some practical experience
  • SAP, TeamCentre or similar PLM systems experience
  • Knowledge of Lean processes

  • In this role, you will specifically support in the manufacturing of the M777 towed artillery system.     Salary: £45,383+ dependent on skills and experience, You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
