As part of the Flexible Pipe Systems Offshore team based in Newcastle UK, you will be joining an established business and team with expertise in pipe design, manufacturing, and installation. This unique combination allows our customers to increase production and asset integrity whilst reducing the overall costs associated with a pipeline system. Partner with the best We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes and systems to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, process optimization, and a passion for continuous improvement. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Identify and work to their own priorities.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for the Work Centre.
  • Be point of contact to resolve process issues on the shop floor.
  • Liaise with, and act as point of contact for the Work Centre, for other departments within the business - Planning, Quality, Engineering, HSE etc.
  • Support HSE and Quality investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Actively drive continuous improvement within the Work Centre and department, with regards to HSE, Quality and Productivity
  • Responsible for ensuring all Work Centre documentation is correct and available (Create and revise Procedures, COIs, Process and Quality records).
  • Responsible for ensuring all Work Centre equipment is available for the process.
  • Ensure customer, regulatory and industry standards (API, ISO) expectations are met for the Work Centre.
  • Identify Work Centre process and equipment improvements and drive to completion.
  • Manage projects within the Work Centre and department.
  • Able to lead, and work within, small multifunctional teams.
  • Work closely with Engineering teams to create innovative packaging solutions for customers.
  • Maintain and improve standard rates for the Work Centre.
  • Support the department and Work Centre during internal and external audits.
  • Develop and maintain the Work Centre training content, identify new training as required.

    Have strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Be familiar with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Be able to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of employees, management, and diverse audiences, including suppliers and internal/external customers.
  • Have proven attention to detail, with excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and personal organization skills.
  • Have proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
