- Responsible for executing activities to implement the Digital Manufacturing strategy, ensuring successful adoption through standard business processes.
- Embedded in the industrialisation ME team, acting as the informed voice of the customer to identify opportunities for improvement and drive changes that enhance productivity, digital system engagement, and digital culture. This will include fixing, improving and/or transforming current and future digital capability in line with the Systems of Record, Differentiation and Innovation framework and corporate roadmaps/architecture to deliver transformative Manufacturing capability.
- Accountable for ensuring that the business and its people are ready for process changes introduced by the systems.
- Required to interact and manage relationships across various functions, ranging from local business teams e.g. Operations, Planning & Control and Manufacturing Engineering to the wider ETS organisation and IT organisations.
- Working daily on the engine assembly line, directly impacting the delivery to our airframe customers.

To be successful in this role you will need to have : - Experience of Technology Development and Product Introduction methodologies such as Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process to ensure that all processes deployed are developed in line with industry standards.
- Professionally Qualified Engineer (e.g. UK minimum HND/foundation degree or other national equivalent).
- Recognised national or international engineering accreditation (e.g. UK IEng or CEng) where available.
- General understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to their business.
- General awareness of Manufacturing Systems and enabling software tools relevant to the business.
An opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Rolls-Royce team in Derby. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work at the frontline within the Civil Large Engine Assembly and Test business, creating, developing, and adapting manufacturing processes that will be introduced and used for years to come.
