Our Manufacturing Engineers who provide Production Support are responsible for a group of technical manufacturing processes within large vessel manufacture, pumps & valves, or Core Nuclear reactor products. Through your knowledge of production and process you will drive continuous improvement activities and process control, to ensure manufacturing processes capable of meeting and continually meets quality, cost, delivery rate and lead time requirements that are delivered on time to the business., Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It's a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we're all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week. What you will be doing: Within this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to have an input into the development of manufacturing processes and/or methods of manufacture and the continuous improvement of these areas. The product and materials are somewhat novel when compared to other vessel fabrications, pumps, valves and assemblies for a Pressurised circuit. The optimal candidate would:
- You will work within a manufacturing cell, where you will ensure application of manufacturing process controls within the area of accountability, with authorisation subject to appropriate delegation
- Fundamental knowledge of DFMEA / PFMEA to influence Product definition / final form manufacture
- You will ensure that manufacturing processes are followed so that our products conform to their specification. Rigorously raise, investigate and resolve quality and product safety related issues
- You will work with interfacing teams and local experts to ensure technical aspects of manufacturing processes and digital systems are understood and accounted for as required
- You will capture and utilise lessons learnt. Identify, document and share best practice, including by participation in relevant Communities of Practice

- You will have a degree, or equivalent, in an engineering or related technical discipline with previous experience in a manufacturing engineering and/or process engineering background
- You will have strong analytical skills and a proven record of technical problem-solving skills along with knowledge of six sigma / lean techniques
- You will be a good communicator and able to liaise with staff at all levels
- You will possess excellent organisational and presentation skills and feel comfortable presenting at all levels
