At our Dartford site (CMT) our mission is to be the industry choice for high potent, high value API micronization. Today, we supply ~40 micronized product to a wide range of customers and patients . Catalent Dartford require a Manufacturing Operator to join our site Operations team. As a Manufacturing Operator you will play a key role in the preparation and execution of all manufacturing steps at CMT to produce high quality products for our clients. This includes manufacturing for product development, clinical trials and commercial supply.

A graded structure is in place to support individual development, progression, and succession planning and many of our leaders started their careers as Manufacturing Operator , so this is a great starting point.

Whist previous hands-on processing experience in a GMP Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment is desirable, it is not essential - you don't need to have this experience to be successful. First and foremost, we are looking for candidates who are motivated to learn and who are excited to develop practical, hands-on manufacturing and problem-solving skills.

Shifts:

  • Early 6am - 2pm Monday to Friday

  • Late 1.30pm - 10pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 1.30pm - 7.30pm

  • Night 9pm - 7am Monday to Thursday (when required)


  • The Role:
  • To work as a flexible and motivated member of the team.

  • To routinely operate process equipment, executing manufacturing instructions to produce high quality Micronized drug product.

  • To always work in a safe manner, wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and not endanger the safety of themselves, their colleagues, or the product.

  • To maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping within all GMP areas.

  • To use understanding of processes and equipment to highlight abnormal events, support day to day trouble shooting, identify and progress improvement activities

  • To be a flexible and committed learner, continually developing skills to enable cross-skilling across multiple work areas and products.

  • To participate in in safety, quality and continuous improvement activities, initiating ideas and completing actions.

  • Work various shift patterns to ensure the operational needs of the business are met and learning opportunities are maximised

    An interest in, and motivation for becoming a multi-skilled Process Technician

  • Communication skills

  • You'll meet and work with lots of different people across the site so you'll need to be able to listen to others as well as be open and honest and respectful in your communication.

  • Ability to follow instructions / Personal responsibility / Attention to detail

  • It is critical that you can follow work instructions and health & safety guidelines at all times - to keep you and your colleagues safe whilst ensuring the highest quality of the products that reach our patients

  • An ability to work within a team

  • You will have your own tasks to work on and you'll also need to be able work well with other people & consider the impact of your work and actions on other people too

  • A focus on quality (right first time) and problem solving

  • We'll teach you how to safely work with manufacturing machinery and documentation tools. As you develop in your role you'll need to take a logical approach to problem solving whilst seeking opportunities to improve quality, speed and/or efficiency.

  • Previous experience of working in a (GMP) manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential

  • A good standard of English and Maths is required - 5 GCSE or equivalent with a grade 5/4 in Maths or equivalent experience.


  • Safety Considerations:
  • PPE is required for this role. This includes wearing a full air suit and ear defenders for certain processes.

  • Occasional manual lifting up to 15kg
