Full Job Description

Thales Underwater Systems delivers a state of the art Sonar capability for UK and International Navies. Our systems are developed for a wide range of significant defence projects, including the Astute and Dreadnought class submarines, Merlin helicopters, Type 23 frigates and the Hunt class mine countermeasures vessel. We also provide Mission Planning, Situational Awareness and Information Management Systems for defence are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Operator, Joining a friendly and collaborative team, you will be responsible for building electrical assemblies and performing manufacturing tasks in accordance with appropriate engineering drawings and documents.

  • Produce on time and to quality manufacture of Electrical assemblies

  • Escalating blockers and issues to team Leader

  • Escalating Health and safety issues to team Leader

  • Ensuring 5S standards are met

  • Ensuring any quality non-conformances are logged and escalated

    You should have some experience, preferably in a manufacturing/assembly background, and are looking for your next career move. You will need to be able to work unsupervised and be a motivated self-starter.

  • Good Communication skills

  • Able to work as part of a team

  • The ability to interpret a build pack (drawings and wiring diagrams)

  • Follow process and instructions

  • Eligible to obtain full SC clearance at UK eyes only level
