Full Job Description

We're recruiting an exciting Manufacturing Quality Engineer for our Machining & Process value stream. We're ideally looking for a qualified Engineer who has a passion for Quality or has worked alongside Quality for this role.

You will be responsible for identifying, scoping, and implementing Quality Control and Assurance initiatives within the special process area. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement by detecting and addressing gaps or non-compliance with QMS/AS9100 standards and NADCAP requirements.

You will be in a mentorship role & will collaborate closely with members of the team, key stakeholders, and subject matter experts across all levels of the organization to ensure that all identified gaps are effectively addressed and aligned with QMS/AS9100/NADCAP standards.

This role requires the ability to think both tactically and strategically to develop and execute the most effective approach for quality enhancement.

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, customer, and internal requirements.

  • Facilitate audits and process walkthroughs to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement.

  • Serve as a delegate to the Quality Manager when requested.

  • Troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement within the special process area.

  • Facilitate problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, RRCA, DIVEs, etc.

  • Align the quality strategy and objectives with the overall expectations of the organization.

  • Participate in PFMEA, design reviews, and formal gate reviews to enhance product and process quality.

  • Support process maturity improvement efforts within the clinic.

  • Assist the quality team with escape management to prevent and address quality issues.

  • Contribute to data analysis and project selection to drive quality improvements.

  • Take ownership of project goals and objectives to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Support special process triages, team talks, audits, and other quality-related activities.

  • Deliver OSI, FOD, and damage prevention training to operators.

  • Assist the team with containment and inspection activities as needed.

    Engineering background

  • Ability to interpret & analyse Engineering drawings

  • Excellent communication & problem solving skills


  • Desirable skills:
  • Knowledge of QMS/AS9100 and NADCAP standards

  • Experience with auditing and compliance

  • Continuous improvement mindset.

  • Expertise in special processes

  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting

  • Leadership and delegation abilities.

  • Training and development skills

  • Strategic and tactical thinking
