Full Job Description

This role is essential in shaping and executing the strategic vision for the commercial success of Maritime, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. You will identify opportunities to enhance commercial business planning and performance and provide support to cost owners while managing costs across all aspects of Maritime in collaboration with cost owners. You will represent Maritime P&L areas in cross-functional forums focused on commercial performance and strategic initiatives, collaborating with other operators within the corporation. Accountable for establishing an effective schedule of commercial performance reviews in partnership with Finance, you will integrate financial and operational performance drivers related to cost and capital. Building strong cross-functional relationships across Carnival UK (CUK) is key, as you will direct and coordinate resources across multiple departments to achieve shared goals and drive overall commercial performance for Maritime. Job Requirements This role demands a blend of strategic vision & technical expertise. We're looking for someone with:

  • Playing a key role in shaping and delivering the strategic vision for Maritime commercial success
  • Identifying and delivering initiatives to manage costs and make savings
  • Creating and establishing a rhythm and framework for costs and commercial management performance reviews
  • Holistic Commercial management of the portfolio of contracts across all Maritime functions to ensure effective management
  • Working collaboratively with various contract owners to ensure optimal outcome from strategic contract negotiations with third parties
  • Driving a data driven approach to management Repair and Maintenance, Maritime People, Fuel, G&A and Ports forecasting, helping to identify and implement efficiencies and meet forecast.
  • Create and manage an effective annual process for build of future year operational plans and forecasts in partnership with finance.

  • Strong influencing and leadership skills to work across the organisation and its key stakeholders including senior management.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with a proven record of building and maintaining strong, collaborative, and productive relationships across functional and organisational boundaries.
  • Exceptional organisational skills including the ability to manage multiple, often conflicting priorities and work collaboratively with others to achieve outcomes within tight deadlines.
