Full Job Description
- Delivering Operational Assurance & Standards Visits in accordance with RNLI Policy.
- Audits and follow up visits at SAR units, ensuring operational efficiency is maintained and policy is being adhered to
- Promoting collaboration and supportive behaviour in our lifesaving units, working with staff and volunteers across the RNLI to develop a more holistic approach to compliance
- Providing practical SME support where appropriate, to local management and lifesaving units to the resolving of compliance gaps.
- Contribution to project work associated with the priorities within Lifeboat Services, and compliance and regulatory change.
- Supporting positive behaviour change in relation to maritime and safety matters
- Constantly striving to make all aspects of RNLI Operational delivery safer.
As a Maritime Standards Lead (Technical), you will be responsible for reporting on standards and ensuring a high-level of assurance activity as part of the RNLI compliance assurance framework. You will be passionate, motivational and have a positive outlook when leading people in your work. You will want to be part of a work environment that offers a variety of different challenges, and you will be someone who can work both on their own and as part of a team to produce positive outcomes To be considered as Maritime Standards Lead (technical) you will ideally need to meet the following requirements: - Significant experience in Maritime Launch & Recovery operations
- Marine engineering experience with a relevant degree/post grad/higher qualification.
- Minimum of RYA or ISA YM Offshore Commercially endorsed
- NEEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent H&S qualification/Audit and Assurance qualification
- Knowledge and experience of application of H&S Legislation/Compliance This position is not suitable for someone that would like a 9-5 job, is not prepared or unable to work evenings, under their own initiative and not prepared to work away from home. - Salary £49,492 - £58,226 or € 62,937 - € 74,043 (dependent on experience)
