The Royal Alexandra and Albert School exists to give our children a distinctly different start in life, preparing them for the world with hope, optimism, compassion and empathy. We are a co-educational, non-selective state boarding school, for boys and girls aged 7 - 18. This is a boarding school with Flexi Boarding students attending from the local area and a lively community of around 400 Full Boarders, passionately involved in a wide range of after-school and weekend activities and trips. Our Ofsted inspection of March 2024 states "pupils are happy and well cared for at Royal Alexandra and Albert School. They benefit from positive relationships with staff across the school. Pupils feel safe, confident that if they report any concerns or worries they will be dealt with". We are currently looking for a Marketing Assistant to work alongside the Director of Marketing. The Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Director of Marketing to market the Royal Alexandra and Albert School and Foundation to a wide range of audiences, building its profile and driving recruitment locally, regionally and internationally. This newly created role will provide key support to ensure our marketing efforts are impactful and aligned with our overall vision. We are looking for candidates with a background in marketing who have:

  • A motivated, proactive and creative approach to their work.
  • High levels of digital, written and oral communication skills.
  • A passion for producing work to high standards.
  • A professional and approachable demeanour with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to actively participate in a vibrant school community and interact with students.
  • We reserve the right to interview and appoint prior to the closing date of the advertisement. The Royal Alexandra and Albert School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post if successful, including an Enhanced DBS check. Staff must be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety regulations, security and confidentiality, reporting all concerns as appropriate. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020. At The Royal Alexandra and Albert School we strive to be inclusive and value the positive impact of diversity and equality within our school. We welcome applications from all backgrounds, and particularly encourage those from ethnic minority groups who reflect the diversity, and varied cultural and ethnic backgrounds, of our student community / boarding community.
