Full Job Description

Campaign Delivery

  • Supports the overall development and delivery of marketing campaigns.

  • Supports the Marketing & Audiences team in the process of creative asset development by taking ownership of a range of campaign assets and ensuring delivery is made according to each individual campaign plan.

  • Runs some contained end-to-end marketing campaigns for less complex deliverables in the Marketing Plan.

  • Assists in the planning and creation of digital and social media content.

  • Assists in the development and management of events.

  • Supports the Marketing & Audiences team with the necessary compliance of all marketing and communications activity by following BBC Editorial Guidelines.

  • Organises all campaign collateral and documentation such that we maintain strong records of assets, plans, and performance of individual campaigns.


  • Strategy and Planning
  • Follows Marketing Plans as guidance throughout the campaign development process.

  • Understands audience insights relevant to campaigns, and applies them to the creation of campaign assets.

  • Assists in the evaluation of campaign performance, including supply of assets for testing, and understanding results of audience research.

  • Accountable for multiple deliverables at any one time, successfully managing their time across them all to ensure each is delivered with excellence.

    The Head of Philharmonic Marketing is a central role within the Philharmonic's senior leadership team, equivalent to a Director-level marketing role at a non-BBC UK symphony orchestra. We are looking for someone with marketing savvy and management experience to help us tell our story and to connect with our current and future audiences. The job includes equal parts strategic planning, management responsibilities, and campaign delivery (including a significant brand and programme refresh aligned with the 25/26 season launch). Key partners will include BBC marketing and public relations teams, external agencies, creative personnel, and an international set of venues, festivals, and promoters.


  • This role is perfect for an experienced communications professional - someone with effective management skills and with a history of delivering high-impact marketing campaigns, managing brands, and developing marketing strategy.

    While an extensive knowledge of classical music is not essential, it is important to us that applicants engage with the arts on a broader level and are passionate about different forms of culture - be it specific genres of music, dance, literature, visual art, or any other field.,
  • The Marketing Assistant will be expected to either have some marketing experience, or to demonstrate a clear aptitude for marketing work which involves creative judgement, skills of organisation, and ability to influence and collaborate with others.

  • Experience working with Adobe InDesign, and more broadly, Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Interest in classical music.

  • Experience assisting and managing on all aspects of a marketing campaign including evaluation
