Ways to Wellness is recruiting for a NEW role of Marketing and Communications Lead.

Our vision is a health system that reduces health inequalities: where people are more active participants in their own health and wellbeing, and the strengths of all sectors particularly the voluntary sector are maximised.

We have a strong local, national and international reputation, as the first health service in the world to use a social impact bond, and as a leader in social prescribing innovation. We have recently set a three-year strategy for the organisation and were ambitious for our future.

The Marketing and Communications Lead will be vital to helping us achieve our goals. They will be an excellent networker and relationship manager, who can help us reach key cross-sector stakeholders. They will take a lead role in managing our public relations to maximise our profile, initiatives and partnerships.

They will help us to plan and deliver excellent communications for every stage of our pilots and prototypes from encouraging people to approach us with their ideas, attracting funding, and sharing what we are delivering, to influencing policy, practice and commissioning., The Marketing and Communications Lead will be vital to helping us achieve our strategic goals. They will be an excellent networker and relationship manager, who can help us reach key cross-sector stakeholders. They will take a lead role in managing our public relations to maximise our profile, initiatives and partnerships.

Ways to Wellness delivers a variety of work, with personalised care at their heart.

We deliver social prescribing at scale for people with long-term health conditions living in Newcastle upon Tyne. We are proud of the impact of this work, both in terms of improved patient wellbeing and reduced hospital costs. We also deliver a range of exploratory, new, strategic and pilot projects, addressing areas such as maternal mental health, supporting children requiring hospital treatment, and working with patients on waiting lists for hip and knee operations.
