Full Job Description

The Marketing and Communications Manager will lead and manage the marketing and communication strategies for the CSRF. This role is essential in promoting the organisation's services, increasing engagement with members, expanding its reach to potential retirees, and enhancing its overall brand reputation. The manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring communication plans, content creation and managing relationships with key stakeholders.,

  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies aligned with the organisation's objectives. Identify target audiences and tailor strategies to increase membership and engagement. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing and communication activities, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
  • Brand Management: Ensure consistent branding across all communication platforms and materials. Enhance and protect the organisation's brand reputation through proactive media relations and crisis communication management. Develop and maintain branding guidelines and ensure their adherence across the organisation.
  • Content Creation: Oversee the creation of high-quality, engaging content for various channels, including social media, newsletters, press releases, and the organisation's website. Lead the development of promotional materials, such as brochures, flyers, and event programs. Manage the production of member communications, ensuring content is relevant and timely.
  • Digital Marketing: Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, and online advertising. Analyze and optimize website content and user experience to increase engagement and conversion rates. Utilize SEO and other digital marketing tools to drive traffic to the organisation's website and social media platforms.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including members, partners, media, and government bodies. Act as the primary point of contact for all media inquiries and public relations activities. Coordinate and manage external communications to ensure alignment with the organisation's goals and values.
  • Event Promotion: Lead the promotion of events, workshops, and seminars organized by the CSRF. Develop marketing campaigns to maximize attendance and participation in events. Collaborate with event organisers to create promotional content and materials.

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in marketing and communications, preferably within the non-profit or public sector. Experience in managing digital marketing campaigns and content creation. Demonstrated experience in media relations. A knowledge of the Civil Service would be advantageous.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong project management and organizational skills. Proficiency in digital marketing tools, including social media platforms, SEO, and content management systems (CMS). Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. High level of creativity, with an eye for design and branding.
