Full-time, permanent, required as soon as possible About Ipswich School - we are one of the foremost independent schools in East Anglia, and are proud to be regularly ranked as Suffolk's top independent School. We were established prior to 1399 and moved to our present site in 1852. We are a co-educational school with around 1100 pupils aged between 3 months and 18 years and we operate a five-day week. The School comprises a Senior School with over 880 pupils aged from 11 to 18, and the Prep School with 230 pupils aged from 5 to 11. The Lodge Day Nursery provides the very best care for our youngest children aged from 3 months to 5 years. We were judged in September 2022, by ISI Inspectors, to be Excellent in all categories. About you - we seek a highly-motivated and charismatic person who is able to work closely with the Director of Marketing to develop and implement an innovative marketing strategy that supports Ipswich School's goals. The role involves creating compelling content across digital, social, and traditional media platforms, managing the school's online presence, and contributing to key initiatives that enhance the school's reputation and drive engagement from prospective families, alumni, and the wider community. You will have:

  • Proven experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, ideally within an educational environment
  • Strong writing and content creation skills with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and persuasive content for multiple platforms.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and executing digital marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with website management, SEO best practices, and content management systems.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Working hours
  • This is a full-time, permanent post.
  • The typical, core working hours will be Mondays - Fridays throughout the year, with a 'normal' daily working pattern being 8.30 am - 5.00 pm, 37.5 hours per week.
  • There may be some flexibility with the start and finish times. This can be discussed at interview with shortlisted candidates. However, due to the nature of this role, and the range of responsibilities involved, flexibility with working hours will be required.
  • The role may require attendance at functions and events, which may take place in the evenings and weekends, inside and outside of term time.
  • Salary and Benefits
  • The starting salary will be up to £35,000 per annum, and will depend on your skills and experience.
