Are you passionate about football, communications, and community development? Do you have a flair for marketing and a desire to support grassroots football? Somerset FA is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as the Marketing & Football Development Officer (Leagues). This role offers the chance to drive the marketing and communications efforts of Somerset FA, while supporting the development of inclusive, sustainable, and thriving football leagues across the county. You will play a key role in delivering both The FA's Grassroots Football Strategy and the Somerset FA Strategy, ensuring clubs and leagues are connected, engaged, and supported., Marketing Officer
- Lead the development and implementation of the Somerset FA marketing strategy to enhance the organisation's image and reach.
- Manage and grow the Somerset FA brand through engaging campaigns, social media, and website management.
- Build strong media relationships and ensure regular coverage of Somerset FA activities.
- Deliver inspiring and impactful communications that resonate with the local football community.
- Manage Somerset FA's 'Awards' programmes and county cup finals, celebrating the achievements of the football community. Football Development Officer
- Support leagues in achieving England Football Accreditation and embed a system for league development and accreditation renewals.
- Help deliver the FA's Grassroots Football Strategy by working closely with local leagues, offering support and guidance.
- Lead positive behaviour initiatives in youth football and support national FA campaigns.
- Build strong relationships with league volunteers, providing high-level customer support with FA technology systems.
A marketing-savvy individual with experience in communications, social media, and branding. - A passion for grassroots football and community engagement.
- Knowledge of FA technology systems and safeguarding standards.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- An understanding of safeguarding, equality, and inclusivity within football.
