Full Job Description

We are recruiting a hands-on Marketing Manager to join our team on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing all elements of marketing for our Events portfolio across all brands. Ensuring marketing campaigns broaden awareness, increase reach, and optimise attendance of our events whilst providing performance metrics and campaign analysis.,

  • Implement coordinated multi-channel marketing plans for each event, liaising with the Events, Content and Commercial teams as well as the wider Marketing function.
  • Control and manage the planning, design, implementation and execution of sponsorship, exhibition, awards and delegate campaigns both online and offline.
  • Work with internal teams to update and maintain event websites.
  • Liaison with designers, printers, and other suppliers responsible for the production of marketing materials.
  • Generate a targeted number of sales leads for the sales teams using a range of marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Produce detailed analysis on the results of events including but not limited to event performance and sponsorship campaigns.
  • Manage and track agreed marketing spend for the brand.
  • Attend events, exhibitions and conferences run by RP as well as other relevant events. Overseas travel may be required.
  • Attend internal and external training and development events as required.

    Applicants should have at least 2 years' experience at Marketing Manager level or similar within a commercial events environment and ideally people management. B2B media experience desirable but not essential., 2 years' experience at Marketing Manager level or equivalent within events, B2B media or similar environment
  • Proven track record of success with demonstrable metrics for growing brand reach, delivering successful campaigns and achieving key objectives such as revenue targets in a commercial environment
  • Basic understanding and working knowledge of legislation including GDPR and advertising best practice
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
  • Ability to deliver quality work in a fast paced and high-volume deadline driven environment
  • Ability to manage a full campaign from start to finish and able to manage several projects at once under tight deadlines and accommodate rapid changes
  • Excellent IT skills:
  • + Microsoft Office is essential, including Word and Excel. + Digital systems including CRM, online marketing tools and social media. + Adobe creative packages would be advantageous but not essential.
