Full Job Description

As the Marketing Manager you'll help build strong, healthy portfolio of brands to drive our volume, value and market share growth. You'll act as a true brand guardian and a leading advocate for our ciders through the HEINEKEN UK business. You'll be part of a dynamic & high-performing team and will utilise your leadership skills to effectively guide a team of managers and senior individual contributors to achieve their objectives. Your industry and market awareness will be put to good use as a key part of the role is understanding consumer attitudes, competitor behaviours and distribution challenges to ensure we're developing our brands and products with the times. So, what will you be doing? Here are some key accountabilities;

  • Lead marketing strategies (for brands/communications etc) using the marketing mix to maximise profitability and to build brand awareness
  • Oversee brand performance against plan and instigate corrective action where appropriate with proactive communication
  • Work with senior roles in a variety of other Business Units to develop strategies which exploit cross-functional working and realise solutions which benefit the whole organisation and its approach to taking products to market.
  • Initiates and leads cross-department/functional projects with a significant impact on the achievement of business goals.
  • Develops and gain agreement for the brand/channel plan to ensure achievement of targets and alignment with strategic goals and long term plans
  • Manage a team of high performing individuals including development and managing career opportunities

    We are looking for a strong all-rounder leader who is relationship driven and passionate about creating fantastic plans for even better brands! This job requires someone who can build strong relationships, use their in-depth knowledge of the external market and FMCG sector and use their marketing methods and strategies to create winning plans. If you have;
  • Previously held a Marketing Manager role in a similar environment
  • A proven track record in developing multiple through the line communications campaigns across the full marketing mix
  • Strong leadership skills with a broad range of stakeholders and management of these stakeholders from a consumer centric orientation
  • Evidence of building brands and delivering solid financial results within a consumer-focused organisation
  • Strong commercial acumen with a passion for the industry
  • Experience coaching and mentoring employees, setting and managing performance objectives, and providing leadership to a team
  • Clearly demonstrated analytical and commercial acumen
  • Demonstrates gravitas, courage and conviction to be able to influence at a senior level within an organisation
  • Comfortable across the range of conceptual and practical problem-solving challenges, with a good ability to manage complexity and ambiguity
  • Lateral and innovative thinker, but with ability to structure and communicate complex strategic ideas and drive them to pragmatic
