Rethink Events creates and delivers a global portfolio of market-leading international business summits that promote new technologies and investment in sustainable agriculture, food, water and materials. As a Marketing Manager at Rethink Events, you will lead on several events within our global portfolio of events, increasing visibility, engagement and reach in order to ensure future growth and market share. This is a diverse and exciting role, in which you are responsible for planning, managing and executing delivery of marketing activities. Based in our Brighton office, you will be part of an energetic team that produces events annually in London, San Francisco, Singapore, Chicago, Mexico City, Dubai, Amsterdam, and São Paulo. What you'll be doing:

  • Researching and producing content for web, email newsletters, press and social media, positioning Rethink as experts in our market and demonstrating the value of our events to the industry.
  • Adhering to brand guidelines, bringing in fresh formats and ideas to present content created with our speakers, partners and influencers.
  • Liaising with senior-level stakeholders, such as speakers and sponsors, to engage them in community marketing to our conferences to their own networks, finding new ways and channels to extend our reach via influencers and connections.
  • Maintaining and expanding the portfolio's presence and interactions across social media platforms, with a focus on LinkedIn.
  • Leading on recommending, implementing and reporting on paid digital campaigns and tracking with marketing partners and advertising on LinkedIn and Google Ads.
  • Researching, negotiating and securing marketing partnerships for mutual benefit with relevant industry associations, trade media and investor bodies.
  • Defining key media targets and building relationships with journalists to increase PR before, during and after each event.
  • Overseeing the design and print of conference brochures and materials including signage and banners, managing external design and print agencies.
  • Liaising with the delegate sales team early in campaign to define available data, priorities and gaps, then work with our internal teams and research agencies to continuously expand and refresh our market reach, generating quality leads for sponsorship and delegate participation.
  • Building strong internal relationships with each department to optimise information share and what we do with data, insights, connections etc.
  • Sharing timely updates and reporting on activities (particularly email, social, marketing partners but also data sets and special projects.
  • Attending and helping run the conferences as a core part of the event team.
  • Leading on post event reporting and learnings for future events, ensuring testimonials are captured and our audiences logged and profiled for use in future campaigns (including insights from Swapcard, Cvent, Salesforce and website analytics etc)., 25 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays- increasing by one additional day after 6 years, up to a maximum of 30 days.

    Strong project management skills to help with planning, monitoring, adapting campaigns.
  • To be creative and have a strong understanding of brand identity and design within B2B marketing, including working with designers for digital and print.
  • Good copywriting skills and to be confident writing in different styles and content formats to connect with audiences via news, SEO content, email newsletters, social media.
  • Proven experience in building relationships with industry stakeholders and influencers, Tier 1 and industry media.
  • Experience of using LinkedIn and social channels to build communities for B2B and events, plus running paid advertising campaigns.
  • Experience managing workload with assistants or external support team including suppliers and designers is essential.
  • Advanced use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Canva are essential.
  • Marketing Analytics & Reporting such as Google Analytics, GTAG, Adobe Analytics is essential.
  • Knowledge of website CMS and SEO (such as WordPress, ASP Events) is essential.
  • Database and CRM experience (such as Salesforce) is essential.
  • Knowledge and use of data segmentation and email marketing Systems (such as Pardot) is essential.
  • Knowledge of SEO, Google AdWords, and Paid Digital is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in Event marketing experience is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Experience or knowledge of other design tools such as InDesign or Adobe Suite is advantageous but not essential.
  • Fluency in other languages is a plus but not essential.
