Full Job Description
The Senior Marketing Officer will work closely with the communications team,
stakeholders and an external agency to develop strategic, audience-driven campaign
assets and deliver an impactful and integrated awareness campaign. This role offers
an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact in mental health and improve lives
across the UK., The Senior Marketing Officer will be responsible for the
day-to-day planning, delivery and evaluation
of the campaign., Work closely with the communications team, stakeholders and an external agency
to develop strategic, audience-driven campaign assets and deliver an impactful
and integrated awareness campaign.
Plan innovative ways to reach our target audience both online and offline,
developing messages that align with the campaign's strategic goals and that are
informed through audience insight and testing.
Plan, project manage and deliver specific campaign assets, such as printed
resources, videos, social media assets, translations and images as required.
Act as a key liaison point between the comms team, agency, funder and audience
to ensure a joined-up approach to charity-wide messaging.
Work closely with our digital team and web agency to ensure an integrated
approach to the website migration and other digital projects.
Work closely with our PR agency to ensure an integrated approach to the
campaign.
Work closely with a research agency to plan and deliver effective reporting and
measuring of the campaign's impact and behaviour change.
Use Bipolar UK's CRM system to ensure contacts are recorded accurately,
monitored and in compliance with GDPR.
Be committed to reaching people from a wide range of backgrounds, including
people from minoritised ethnic communities and disadvantaged communities.
Ensure all our work is appropriately informed and influenced by the views and
experiences of people with direct experience of bipolar, using coproduction
principles and audience insights from people with lived experience of bipolar
wherever possible.
Proven experience of developing, delivering and evaluating high-profile integrated
marketing campaigns, working to tight deadlines and prioritising a high workload.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills and experience of developing
a range of emotionally engaging content for multi-media channels, that tailors
messages and finds innovative and creative marketing techniques to reach
diverse audiences.
Knowledge of current digital marketing trends and an understanding of how to
apply them effectively within a marketing strategy.
Ability to develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing plans aligned with
organisational goals, including setting measurable objectives, KPIs and targets.
Understanding of SEO best practices to improve website ranking and organic
traffic.
Proficiency with tools such as Google Analytics and Google Ads for SEM to drive
traffic and conversions.
Experience of using a variety of methods to evaluate activity, report impact and
use findings for continuous improvement.
Good knowledge of audience insight principles, how to gather and use insight to
improve impact in communications.
Experience of managing complex relationships with agencies, external suppliers,
funders and a wide range of internal stakeholders.
Desirable
Demonstrable understanding of empathy towards mental
health challenges.
An understanding of budget management.
Experience of social marketing techniques and
behaviour change.

Bipolar UK is the only UK-wide charity focused solely on bipolar. It provides a range of
peer support services, raises awareness of the condition and its treatment and
campaigns for better services and support. We have recently launched a new
research function that leads and supports academic and clinical research into the
condition and its treatment. Peer support is at the core of our work. Our integrated
