The Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Redbridge is looking for an administrator to join the team to support the Specialist MASH practitioners within the team based at Lynton House in Ilford.
The post holder will be supporting the MASH Health Practitioners in the delivery of their duties through provision of administrative support to ensure that systems are in place and maintained to enable smooth processes for service delivery. This will involve dealing with general queries from Health, Social Care and Police colleagues within the MASH team, liaising with General Practice (GP) administrators as required, and escalating any information that requires Nursing/MASH team interpretation and /or intervention.
You need to have excellent administration skills, attention to detail, work under pressure and good telephone manner.

All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High-Cost Area Supplement
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735) pro rata for part time staff.

Please check your eligibility under the UKVI points based system, · Maintaining efficient systems within the MASH team, maintaining, filing, archiving and when necessary, locating missing notes and arranging transfer of notes between Departments as requested by MASH staff.
· Recording the information received onto the database and ensuring that the information is forwarded to the appropriate Health Team/s promptly for a safeguarding response to be made.
· Opening and sorting post in a timely manner, date stamping and initialling prior to distribution.
· Undertaking scanning and photocopying as required
· Typing reports/letters/feedback as required
· Typing of agendas, minutes, papers and reports as required by the manager.
· To encourage and develop teamwork within the team.
· To highlight any operational concerns regarding administrative systems so that they can be reviewed.
· To ensure a safe working environment as indicated by the manager.
· Distribute patient satisfaction questionnaires and audits as instructed by your manager.
· Monitor and maintain adequate stocks of equipment and stationery required for the health teams and their activities.
· Make appointments for the health team, co-ordinate meetings and book venues as required.
· Cover other teams/services, where necessary, which may require working at other sites.
Collate the domestic abuse notifications from police on a database and ensure these are passed to the duty practitioner in a timely manner
· Support the maintenance and use of the electronic record system to assist MASH team with the management of MASH data and information within the Safeguarding Hub Team.
· Support the MASH Team with the inputting of statistical data, in line with timescales, and clinical activity data.
· Distribute information as directed by the MASH practitioners, enabling the sharing of good practice/information required by the stated case.
· Liaising with the ICT department/s concerning any problems with software/hardware
· To collate information as directed, so to contribute to auditing processes.
· Provide administration support to MARAC and MASH strategy meetings
· Recognising and responding to Health Staff and partners who have communication barriers and booking interpreters when required.
· Deal with all general enquiries.
· To be able to effectively communicate with colleagues, peers, managers and clinical leads within the Trust.
· To attend Health forums and Team meetings as requires, and to attend other meetings as requested by the Operational Lead and/or Team Leader
· To operate within agreed NELFT policies, procedures and guidelines
