Matchday Helpers

Matchday helpers are an integral function to the safe event management and operation of a women's team matchday at The Nest. Our matchday helpers are at the core of our proud, passionate, football community and will support with the delivery of each matchday assisting fans with quires, supporting the delivery of a first-class supporter experience. Matchday helpers will embody our club values and behaviours to make our football club and community better today than it was yesterday.

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting on Norwich City Football Club Women's Matchdays such as directing supporters around the ground, assisting in ticketing and answering fan queries.


• Ensure spectators welfare and safeguarding are always protected.


• To act in a manner that supports the Club's values of Growth, Integrity, Belonging, Resilience, Pride and Commitment


In return, we will provide you with:

• An introduction to the Club and your volunteering role within it.


• A supervisor/manager who will supervise your volunteering and with whom you can discuss your work.


• A review of your volunteering role after three months. This will normally be carried out by your supervisor/manager.


• Complimentary food and drink refreshments while undertaking your volunteering role on matchdays.


• NCFC branded kit, to carry out your role in an official capacity.


• Matchday ticket to watch the Women's Team home fixtures.


• Employer liability insurance to cover you while you are fulfilling authorised volunteer work.


• Reimbursement of any relevant expenses. The Club does not want you to be disadvantaged financially as a result of your volunteering. Any expenses or travel costs outside those normally incurred should be agreed in advance with your supervisor/manager.
