Materials Control Assistant / Fok Lift Truck Driver- immediate start - 6 months contract - based at Shepshed, Leics.

JOIN US and we can offer you an opportunity to work in a high-tech, specialist company working with some of the best global names in aerospace, medical, semiconductor and clean energy., We are seeking a skilled Materials Control Assistant with a valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence to join our team in Shepshed. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and delivery of materials, supporting our WAM and WPS business streams. Your expertise in material handling and commitment to safety and quality will be essential to our operations.,

  • Material Handling: Use your FLT skills to receive, store, kit, and dispatch goods with precision, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and completed promptly.

  • Inventory Management: Conduct regular stock checks, optimize space utilization, and coordinate materials to support production schedules.

  • General Duties: Safely handle materials, prepare goods for dispatch, and maintain a clean, organized working environment.

  • Order Processing: Raise and manage Works Orders, arrange couriers, and oversee the seamless dispatch of goods from our ERP system.

  • Compliance & Safety: Adhere to company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, and support our commitment to world-class standards through 5S principles.

    Experience: Proven experience in a production environment with a strong focus on materials control.


  • FLT License: A valid Forklift Truck license is essential.

    Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and MS Outlook; strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

    Attributes: A self-starter with excellent communication skills, capable of working independently and under pressure.
