Full Job Description

Materials Engineer - Infrastructure Location - Norwich, Norfolk What will you be doing?
- Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
- Provide technical input into project costing, including specialist materials engineering input and assist the project team in materials value engineering (VE) and in identifying appropriate VE robust solutions
- Providing expert technical guidance in materials engineering design, assurance and management
- Develop and maintain relationships with relevant materials engineering laboratories, including project specific management of all laboratory materials testing and data management
- Approve materials and data management of Material Approval Records
- Liaise with supply chain and approve materials suitable for use.
- Resolve material technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure procedures and quality systems are applied both in GT and the supply chain
- Challenge the specifications/proposals and re-engineering to develop alternative value engineered proposals
- Provision of strategies for both the re-use, purchase and disposal of materials
- Participate the delivery of Sustainability activities "As Material Engineer, you will play an integral role in carrying out technical testing relating to all material operations on a day to day basis"
