Materials Management Operative

Make judgements about stock levels required on wards and departments using bar code technology replenishing stock to agreed levels. Maintain effective liaison with the NHS Supply Chain and suppliers. Be familiar with and adhering to Trust policies and guidance on infection, prevention and control. Assist in the upkeep of ward areas in relation to the storage and replenishment of consumable products. Carry out accurate counting & scanning / input and uploading of information / put away stock for a designated number of wards/departments. Locate and provide emergency supplies of products to ward/department areas when required. Assist in the processing of Non-Stock Materials Management requests and maintain effective relationships with the purchasing staff. Maintains stock at agreed levels, responsibility for the security of goods during delivery and/or put away process. Deliveries should be "broken down" immediately. Under no circumstances should cages and totes be left on
