The Procurement team at Warrington and Halton Hospitals are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for the right candidate to be part of the materials management function in theatres, which is part of the Trusts supplies service. The successful candidate will be a confident in working independently in an often fast paced and fluid clinical environment. They will be responsible for ordering and managing the consumable stock that is used daily within theatres at Halton Hospital and the Captain Sir Tom Moore building., Procurement at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals is very well respected at Board level and throughout the organisation. It is acknowledged as a high performing team, always looking for new and innovative ways of improving the service provided. The supply chain function is a key part of this team.

An exciting opportunity for in the role of Materials Management Operative has become available, to support the Supply Chain Manager in providing a day-to-day materials management service to theatres. The role will support clinical teams in the timely provision of clinical and non-clinical supplies for the treatment of patient in both elective and non-elective surgery thereby supporting patient wellbeing and recovery.

We are looking for an individual who is keen to learn about Materials Management and Procurement in the healthcare sector; someone who is able to methodically deal with information and data and translate that into customer service. You will need to be strong willed and a great communicator with a close eye for detail.

This is a great opportunity for the right person to forge a career in materials management and procurement and make a significant contribution to the care of patients and provide crucial support to clinical staff. The post holder will be interchangeable with the other Theatre Materials Management staff and there will be a requirement for these posts to cover each other during times of leave / sickness/ during periods of training.
