Full Job Description

  • Ensure Works Orders are serialised including clear job material shortages
  • Manage work order closure, tracking and batching size of work orders
  • Review and process MRP exception messages
  • Liaise with Procurement, Inward Goods, Stores and the Shop Floor
  • Manage rework order release and internal allocation
  • Control of electronic and physical movement of material, internally and to vendors

    Demonstrate a high level of customer focus
  • Stock deliveries and replenishing
  • Good communication, problem solving, organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office
  • Educated to GCSE level
  • Desirable:
  • Material planning stock control
  • Dispatch, checking stock levels
  • Experience of managing work order closure, tracking and batching size of work order

  • The Materials Planner team: Responsible for material planning using a Material Resource Planning (MRP) program as part of a Windows based business system to ensure the availability of material for the manufacture of the company's products. Working within an Integrated Project Team (IPT) release Purchase Requisitions and Works Orders to buy components and build assemblies in accordance with a delivery schedule.
