Full Job Description

This role works in the Respiratory (RSC) Scheduling team and reports to the RSC Scheduling Manager at the GSK Ware PSC manufacturing site.

The purpose of the role is to create and execute a materials requirement plan to meet the production schedule aligned with the inventory policy, while optimizing cost and working capital. Working in a GMP environment, the role requires maintaining up-to-date records (both paper and electronic) in line with data integrity principles. Additionally, the role emphasizes continuous improvement (CI), particularly opportunities for digital improvement.

The successful applicant will leverage digital tools and technologies to enhance scheduling processes, improve efficiency, and support the team's digital transformation initiatives. This includes identifying opportunities for process improvements, implementing digital solutions, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Summary of Key Responsibilities (includes):

  • Apply the defined scheduling methodology such as BTO and BTS considering optimum frequency and purchase volume in all cases

  • Ensure all commercial materials are ordered in the ERP system to support the production schedules in the optimal volume / frequency for the supply chain, ensuring timely Vendor Scheduler / Purchase Order provision

  • Review and action exception messages and escalate issues affecting supply plans using the TAP process

  • Act as the interface with procurement, warehousing, IMQC and suppliers

  • Provision and maintenance of Material Master Data for purchased materials

  • Maintain and monitor inventory levels to support flow aligned with Inventory Policy and Procurement risk map

  • Support Product lifecycle management (ie. Launch and Pack Change)

  • Data Provision and maintenance including PIR / Source lists, Schedule agreements, Obsolescence and deactivation

  • Attend WH inbound/ IMQC TAP to resolve material flow interrupters and provide prioritisation where required

    This role would suit a self-motivated person who has experience of working in a cross-functional, global supply organisation. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong people skills and a proven ability to influence people to achieve objectives and drive performance. You will have a continuous improvement mindset and strong demonstrable organisational skills. Experience and ability in the use of SAP / ERP would be preferred. Additionally, digital capability and proficiency in using digital tools and platforms to enhance scheduling and materials management processes are required., Medicines at Ware are presented as either Respiratory devices or in Oral Solid Dose form. The site holds a unique position in our network as the only site responsible for launching the company's pipeline of new medicines in these dose forms.,
  • Relevant experience / qualifications (eg; Supply Chain, MRP (ideally)).

  • Analytical Proficiency.

  • Experience working in a highly-regulated industry (eg; cGMP aligned pharmaceutical or FMCG environment)

  • Digital capability and proficiency in using digital tools and platforms.
