Although this position is a 12 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks.   • The post holder is responsible for the provision of Administrative and Clerical support to all areas of the maternity department.
  • To deliver and coordinate an effective administrative and reception service to Maternity Department.
  • The post holder will be expected to rotate between all maternity Departments to fulfil shift patterns, to cross cover, and to fill in gaps as required.
  • At reception level, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring that patients are appropriately admitted and discharged on CRS, make appropriate appointment, ensuring that patients demographics details are accurate and up to date.
  • Responsibility will include ensuring all phone calls are answered and activity are kept up to date

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, highly-motivated and enthusiastic Administrator to work within the Maternity team at Barts Health NHS Trust. These opportunity is to cover Maternity leaves and secondments with in the service.
  • This position is based within the Women's and children's Academic Group, and will be based at Newham University Hospital. This is a busy and dynamic service where we put patients at the centre of the care that we provide. The successful candidate will require excellent communication and organisational skills and possess a positive can-do attitude, preferably with previous administrative experience. The successful candidate should ideally have previous NHS experience in a similar setting and be familiar with Trust systems, such as Cerner Millennium (CRS).
