Full Job Description

As a member of the maternity team you will support and closely work with registered midwives to deliver a high standard of care to women in a caring and safe environment.

You will also work as part of the wider team in developing and maintaining services provided to women and contribute to the safe, efficient and smooth running of the ward/clinical area.

Maintaining the dignity and privacy of all women and respect their right to confidentiality.

Are you qualified at NVQ level 3 or equivalent in healthcare?

We are looking for an experienced, a highly skilled, hardworking and motivated Maternity Support Workers (MSW) with a passion for promoting safe and effective care; in line with national recommendations., Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic experienced Maternity Support Workers to join our Maternity team., The ideal candidate should be motivated and committed to join a supportive, forward thinking team.

The Ideal candidate should have health care experience within the Maternity, Neonate or Paediatric services.

The role can include duties such as supporting women and families, infant feeding support, delivering direct care to women and baby's and maintaining the clinical environment

Providing a safe holistic approach to birth person centred care. Approximately 5,700 women each year choose to birth at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust.

We provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care across the Wakefield district and North Kirklees., We provide care and support to over million people in Wakefield and Kirklees in their homes, community settings and across our three hospital sites at Pontefract, Dewsbury and Pinderfields (Wakefield).
