The Maternity Support Worker (MSW) will play a key role in providing education, advocacy, and support to women and birthing people within the borough of Swale.
This role is designed to address the needs of diverse and underserved populations, specifically those with additional vulnerabilities, such as mental health concerns, safeguarding needs, neurodiversity, language barriers, and new arrivals to the UK. The MSW will work alongside midwives and healthcare teams to ensure each individual receives tailored guidance on local health services, care for their baby, and access to public health support.

To provide telephone support for the team, dealing with both straightforward and complex enquires from a range of sources, including clinical teams, patients, relatives, carers, GP's and other healthcare professionals.
To ensure that messages are communicated accurately and dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner via email and telephone.
To accurately input, update and retrieve data in a timely manner, using a variety of systems (electronic and paper based), including both patient/client records. Ensure information is held in a secure and confidential manner in line with data protection guidelines.
