- An excellent working knowledge of Mathematics / Mathematical Physics and a proven ability to apply it to practical challenges

Sagentia Innovation is seeking a bright and enthusiastic Mathematical Physicist to join our Applied Science team, to advise, create and develop new technologies and support a growing number of projects focussed on sustainability. We solve complex problems using world-class scientific skills on a range of projects which involve a combination of: - Mathematical modelling and algorithm development

- Feasibility assessment informed by practical experience The successful candidates will be expected to make a solid contribution to a group with core business in the medical, industrial, consumer and food and beverage, medical sectors. As a Mathematical Physicist you will have the opportunity to employ and further improve your ability to abstract a physical problem into a mathematical model, solve equations (numerically and/or analytically), and to translate the theoretical results into real-world explanations and solutions. You will provide mathematical & physics support to the Applied Science group in particular and to the wider company as required. Typical projects will use a talented and collaborative cross-disciplinary team that provides insight into best practice product development in electronics design, mechanical design, and software design. You will be bringing all these disciplines together to deliver world class devices or platforms to our clients. Your work will be predominately be based at our Sagentia Innovation offices in Harston. You will enjoy a fast-paced environment in which we solve a variety of challenges from different industries.
