Would you like to train to be a teacher?

We are seeking an enthusiastic committed professional to join us as a Maths Teacher or Tutor or to train to be a Teacher.

The successful candidate will:

· Be passionate about Maths & Numbers and a desire to help young people

· A desire to learn and develop your teaching ability or that of others

· Plan and deliver exceptional Maths lessons to our young people with the support of colleagues

· Communicate to the Senior Leadership Team about the progress of students in lessons

· Create and maintain effective relationships with both staff and pupils to support student achievement and personal development

· Mark, assess and feedback to students helping them to develop their skills and achieve

Our ideal candidate will have:

· A committed and passionate view of students with SEND

· Previous experience in the SEND sector is desirable

· Applicants within a different sector such as accountancy/finance are strongly accepted

· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is advantageous but not a requirement of this post; if you do not hold a QTS or QTLS we will support you in enrolment for this qualification with our in-house Learning and Development team if successful post interview

At Heckington House School:

Heckington House is an independent school based in the heart of Lincolnshire and is part of Keys Group. We offer specialist provision for students with SEMH and those who have found mainstream education difficult. Our facilities include small, nurturing classrooms fully equipped with smart boards to facilitate learning.

We offer vocational subjects such as Hair and Beauty and Construction alongside traditional curriculum areas. Our class sizes are based on a model of 5/6 students to 2 adults enabling us to provide a trauma led approach to both pastoral support and educational progress. We will offer you the chance to make a real difference to young people and give you the time to plan to meet the needs of a small group of students.
