Full Job Description

Providing better outcomes for more children and young people and building positive futures:

  • To develop and ensure quality delivery of all Maths qualifications on all learning programmes that enable young people to achieve and progress into a positive destination including an Apprenticeship, Further Education or sustainable employment.
  • To ensure the highest possible standard of service delivery through the maintenance and monitoring of individualised learning programmes.
  • To meet the highest possible standard of service delivery required following OFSTED guidelines through the development, maintenance and monitoring of tailored training programmes.
  • Undertake a robust assessment to identify young people's needs, appropriate levels and record progress of achieved towards their goals.
  • Offer relevant and appropriate Maths learning to young people with a range of learning needs, in order to increase their confidence and employability.
  • Offer appropriate support and learning in Maths to all learners to enable them to succeed in a vocational setting, achieve their learning aim and progress positively in their chosen career.

  • Would you like to support young people to achieve better outcomes and a positive future? Do you have the skills and experience to teach young people in maths. We are seeking to identify a Full-time Teacher to deliver Maths Functional skills and GCSE to young people aged 14-24 and apprentices.

    Barnardo's Employment, Training and Skills Yorkshire is a Work Based Learning Provider based in Bradford. From this service we provide learning and skills programmes for young people aged 14-24 including: DfE 16-19 Study Programme, Apprenticeships, including those delivered to our staff team across England and corporately funded employer recruitment programmes and 14-16 alternative provision in partnership with local schools.
