Matron

As our Matron, you will provide operational management and clinical leadership for our medical-led and nurse-led inpatient beds and a caseload of community patients receiving care and support in their own homes during their last weeks of life. This will include:

• Providing professional, effective, accountable and inclusive leadership
• Line managing the Service Leads/Managers
• Being our Infection Prevention and Control Lead
• Being accountable for the delivery of optimum quality care in these services
• Being visible and accessible to staff, patients and their families
  
  We are seeking a Registered Nurse with:
• Current NMC PIN
• A teaching, mentoring or coaching qualification
• Senior-level clinical experience including leadership and change management
• A history of successful problem solving and budget/resource management
• Skills in influencing, negotiation, time management, IT, and motivating others
• Ability to handle sensitive situations and provide both professional and emotional support
• Evidence of / awareness of own professional development
You must be able to travel to Coventry, Rugby and Warwick. This role will involve an enhanced DBS check including the adults barred list, because you will be managing staff members in regulated activity with adults. We will cover the cost of this check.
