Full Job Description

Preparing patients for surgery, assisting with and performance of surgical procedures

attending clinics pre clerk patients for theatre including consent.

Attend MDT joint oncology clinic

pre and post op ward rounds completing operating notes collecting specimens for histology and completing the documentation

Teaching presentation and audits., Working with in the relevant code of conduct Nurse/ODP

Attendance of MDT, coordinating the cancer patients according to clinical priority and breach dates. Attend and lead pre-meet prior to joint oncology clinic.Pre clerking assessment of cancer patients including consent and optimisation requesting investigations and acting on result

Ward rounds assessment of patients.

Assisting and directing care

Teaching and supporting clinical staff on the ward with clinical interventions

Preparation of patient for theatre VTE WHO check consent assisting the surgeon and performance of surgical procedures. Completion of operation notes and histology

performance of on call duties
