Full Job Description

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, organised and motivated person to join our team. The team has recently been designated one of 8 Integrated Intestinal Failure (IF) centres in England. As part of this designation we need to record various data sets. All IF patients need to be entered into an IF registry. As part of a team the post holder will be required to collect and record data across both the medical and surgical directorates and report these on a monthly basis. These data are used nationally and locally to facilitate audit and improve patient care. The post holder will also help coordinate MDT meetings and help co-ordinate patient care in association with other members of the team. They should be able to interact with all members of the health care team., The main duties of the role involves managing Intestinal failure (IF) data set, IF Registry, Specialist Service Quality Dashboard and managing all data as required, facilitating audits, co-ordinate MDT meetings and help co-ordinate patient care in association with other members of the team., + Coordinates the site specific MDT meeting
+ Navigates the patient journey ensuring this takes place in a timely fashion
+ Ensure patient data is entered correctly and in a timely manner, producing reports as appropriate
+ Effective liaison with departments within the Trust, developing efficient working relationships and promoting the effective use of information services.
+ To support the multi-disciplinary team to implement the waiting times targets.
+ Daily supervision and deployment of junior staff.
+ Support the Administration Manager to ensure a systematic approach for delivering the NHS Plan commitments for access to elective and day case admissions.
+ Organise waiting lists to ensure that maximum waiting time targets are met whilst Patient Choice is not compromised.
+ Support the Database Lead Nurse/Consultant in ensuring that databases are maintained in line with National Guidance/clinical governance/CQUIN/tariff based targets.

The post holder should have NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification/experience and knowledge of administrative systems, medical terminology and ability to work to tight deadlines. They should be competent inputting to and interrogating computer databases (including Excel) and have strong interpersonal communication skills.
