Full Job Description

The Cancer Services Team are looking for MDT Shared Care Co-ordinator to join our team. This is a pivotal role in the management of patients referred on urgent cancer suspected pathways and transferred between hospitals for their management.,

  • Manage the Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings

  • Track and report Cancer waiting times

  • Collect and monitor Cancer Services and Outcomes Dataset data (COSD)

  • Collect and monitor quality surveillance measures

  • Collect and monitor clinical audit data

  • Liaise with Tertiary providers for patients that are sent between organisations including sending Inter-Provider Transfer Forms along with relevant required reports / documentation and track through to treatment.

    The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate they are able to manage a diverse workload on their own initiative, be excellent communicators, and be organised and systematic whilst accurate in the way they work. They must be able to work unsupervised, but also as part of the wider Patient Pathway Co-ordinators/MDT Co-ordinators. Significant data entry collection and management experience must be demonstrated upon application alongside having a qualification at degree level, or equivalent experience.


  • The team currently consists of 43 people in total who manage MDMs for cancer patients, the cancer waiting times targets and the quality surveillance measures process for every cancer specialty across the Trust.
