Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with an interest in improving the experience of an admission to hospital to take on the role of Meaningful Activities Coordinator. The role will require you to develop, plan and deliver therapeutic, social and recreational activities for groups and individuals. The aim of these activities is to make a positive difference to our patients stay on the ward, promoting independence and enhancing quality of life. The post is based at Loughborough Community Hospital on Charnwood Ward which provides sub-acute care, complex rehabilitation and palliative care. The ward is one of thirteen wards which form the Trusts Inpatient Community Health Services Division. We work with patients and their families from their admission to the ward through to discharge. You will be working with an experienced therapy team consisting of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Technical Instructors. We are a friendly and caring team working closely with the ward MDT always with the patient at the centre of everything we do whilst also involving families and carers.
